Sean S. Cunningham is an award-winning writer, director and producer.
His documentary/educational feature film “The Nurse With The Purple Hair” won the TZIFF 2022 Humanitarian Award. The film explores the touching and poignant story of Hospice Care Worker’s. It’s a touching in-depth look at today’s health care system and honors those who commit their lives for their sacrifice and service.
Sean is best known for his work in the horror genre as the creator of the cult classic “Friday The 13th” franchise of films. He created the iconic character “Jason” who is still one of the most popular horror characters in cinematic history. His other genre credits include, “House”, “Terminal Invasion”, “Deepstar Six” and “The Last House on the Left”.
